hello from jordon, well just finished race today, 40 kms approx 40 degrees.9 hours and yes a serious but kicking , mine, and our teams for the most part. None us have got any sleep in three days with jet leg so race got off to rough start. about 5 kms in rj got some really bad nausea so we had to slow down and wait to see what was wrong,he looked a little under the weather so aaen and i went ahead and sent back the medic and water. rj got squared away and seemed ti impove, but was in for a really long day; aaen and i were a little concerned but not sure what to do, so we would walk with him and then go ahead and wait at check point for him. this was basically the rest of the day. rj seemed to improve but had to maintain a slower pace, so we did as well. i was feeling pretty good till the last five kms, laboured pretty bad and basically had to sit down 50 yards from the finsh line, yep thats right 50 yards, and stayed for 10 minuites. just couldnt get up.. feeling better now but the heat really got me right at the end. aaen stayed with me, he seemd to feel pretty good for most of the day, but being the crafty veteram managed to finish ahead of him :). even though he stayed with me 10 mins from the finish line. our team is now in a bit of a delema due to our slow time, we burned more food, and electrolytes for us all to finsh. we will see in the morning how everyone feels, but if need be i may give my food and electrolytes to aaen, he has the best chance of completing the race, however he did get past by a 70 year old grandmother.;) so it was a tough day, good news i didnt throw up, almost but not today, maybe tommorrow :). we will see how day goes tommorrow but may transition to volenteer to keep mom, raena and kathy happy. we will see. not to keen on feeling nausios all day tommorrow too maybe a late mothers day present. despite the racing and having all in all a bad day, we are in pretty good spirits and spend the better amount of our time making fun of each other. we have experienced our fair share on the rugby field loosing and if the desert was the all blacks, that would be of a simlar comparison to our result today.rj also cant to one burpee right now im preety sure. we ale alos less fat .love you girls.bri
also remember the gaia project, if your unfamiliar check it out, they do great work
